Lee Clark Named Kilmarnock Coach

11 posts in this topic

Lee McCulloch is the interim at the moment and rumor is that Ally McCoist is being considered for the job as well. That would be interesting. I feel bad for how Lee was treated on his exit. He really did give his all for the club during our hardest times. I hope he gets a good reception this weekend.

Ally McCoist would be a horrendous appointment. Gary Locke had a similar recruitment policy to McCoist's at Rangers, with bringing in 'experienced players'. I say that, but it was more a case of bringing in players for their last full time contract. Their problems are much higher than any manager they bring in, and real change needs to happen at board level before progress can be made at the club.

Lee Clark, ex Blackpool manager, seems to be th new Kilmarnock manager. Has a mixed reputation in England, but will have a fresh start in Scotland. Has a tough job to do.

He had a hell of a reputation after winning about fifteen thousand league games with Huddersfield then it all went to shit with Birmingham and Blackpool. Some come down this.

Was stupid to take the Blackpool job when he did like. Be interesting to see how he does at Kilmarnock

Dundee United look cut adrift at the bottom of the league, so he only has to worry about avoiding the playoff spot. Relying on Josh Magennis and an aging Kris Boyd for goals isn't a great building point for him. Coming in after thd January window is a huge blow for him.

A lot of troubles at the top level of Kilmarnock, so not an entire surprise that he jumped back to England.

Has a fairly poor record, but the turnover of players within a year was incredible. He was never going to get some consistency from the players.

That's quite something for someone to leave the SPL for League One relegation.

Seems only two minutes ago that he was being named as manager of Kilmarnock.

Not surprised at all though as the football system in Scotland is gash. Unless you're running the Celtic gig it's pretty pointless even attending.

Just another example in the last week of an inept English manager being found out and trying to escape back down south....
