i think nolan should win it - hes been fantastic all season - only been no good for about 2/3 matches. but, as you only count if you are at a big or london club i think the shortlist will be:
lampard/carrick/cole/henry/rooney/ bent
or something along those lines
well i was right almost - 4/6

always the f*****g same - be at a big and/or london club and you are noticed. :sf1: if you arent then f**k you.

1. London has NOTHING to do with it. I don't know where this misconception is that the FA favours London. They're based in London for ONE reason - That's where the sports ministry is. SO drop the f**ki|g sulking.
As for big clubs - Darren Bent is on there.
Why not Nolan? He may have impressed YOU playing for YOUR club, he may be a good player, he may have a lot of potential, is he going to the World Cup? Nope, so he's obviously not among the best. Or os the England squad a pro-London campaign too?
Never heard so much shite in me life. Nolan didn't get in cos Nolan ain't good enough. If he were perhaps you wouldn't be excited buy a UEFA Cup run.
But oh yeah, it's London and big teams only.
Player of the year has to be between Henry and Cole, and young player between Rooney and Fabregas.

Now I'll post my personal opinions on who I think should win the award.
For the PFA Player of the Year I can't see past Terry or Gerrard. Terry the main element of the core that makes Chelsea what they are - a very difficult team to get any points from. Gerrard is one of the most influential midfielders in the country who has been playing out of possition for most of the season and done an amazing job at it. The other candidates are good players, but I think they don't have anything on Terry or Gerrard.
For the PFA Young Player of the Year I'd have to go with either Rooney, Bent, or Fabregas. Personally, I think Sissoko and Flamini (looks like I spelled that wrong, apologies) should have been on the list. People call Liverpool and Arsenal a one man team in relation to Gerrard and Henry, and I can see a strong arguement for Man United with Rooney. He's absolutely vital for them, and he's only 20 years old. Bent made the step up from the championship and started banging in goals when lots of people doubted him. He might end up as a one season wonder, but he deserves some praise for this year. Fabregas had massive shoes to fill when Vieira left, and while I feel Arsenal really lack physical presence (I'd blame Gilberto for that personally), this young Spaniard has done exceptionally well. He's the reason for Arsenal progressing so far in the CL.

but also where are players like mido who has made a huge impact at spurs even harewood at west ham he has been super but it cant be won by a player who isnt at a big club only youngsters can play for a lower team and win an award
my argument is why does rooney get nominated for both yet fabregas does not he deserves to win both awards

Joe Cole (Chelsea)
No sorry, has come on leaps and bounds, but Player of the Year, sorry, cant put him in the same sentence as Cantona, Shearer, Ferdinand, Ginola, Henry in terms of effect this season, so no.
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Possibly, first half of the season i'd say his form was so good he was the best in the world at the time, just fading a bit now. But of course it's hard to remember 5 months ago instead of yesterday
Thierry Henry (Arsenal)
If he finishes strong, but for me his injury rules him out of this award this year, that and Arsenal's form, you need to have had an extra special season to win it, Henry hasnt lit the league up this season as much as the past, however what he has achieved in the games he's managed to be fit for is still worth giving credit for.
Frank Lampard (Chelsea)
what a joke, he was good for the first 2 months of the prem but he's been shite since
Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)
One day he will get this award, he's been fantastic but i think with his young age still a bit inconsistent, next year though...
John Terry (Chelsea)
No, his time in the light has passed, now move out the way.
PFA Young Player of the Year
Darren Bent (Charlton)
Done very well, he's better than Crouch and AJ, last years Championship so called "success" stories
Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
Outstanding in Champions League, non exsistent in most prem games, when up against some one strong he doesnt like a tackle against him (and i'm not referring to Sol Campbell's tackle, i'm talking footballing terms)
Anton Ferdinand (West Ham)
Very good but i'm not so sure he warrants this award
Aaron Lennon (Tottenham)
No, he's on and off the bench, i think it's a sign of how desperate we are to fill this list. CHARLES N'ZOGBIA HAS BEEN 10 TIMES THE PLAYER LENNON HAS THIS SEASON
Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
no, i don't think he's stood out.
Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)
Rooney pisses on the ones above.

try not to be too positive
I think Henry deserves Player of the Year and Rooney/Cesc deserves Young Player of the Year.
But i think Lampard and Rooney will win, you know the guys who select the winners are such idiots, they don't see the big picture. just because Chelsea won the league doesnt mean the best player played for them!
so come on Thierry, make it your 3rd!
