La Liga week 27 fixtures - 8th, 9th, 10th & 11th March 2013

Betis won again last night. Looks like they could well just keep up a fight for 4th all season.

Is there a more effective strike partnership in the league at the moment than Ruben Castro/Jorge Molina by the way?

Stupid DirecTV not showing the Barcelona-Deportivo game, so going to have to read the LIVE commentary of the game on Goal.com :( Anyway, here's to hoping we go out and get a convincing win plus a clean sheet. With a weakened side containing no Messi, no Busquets, no Iniesta etc., it will be great plus it'll raise Morale for the crunch game against AC Milan on Tuesday. VISCA EL BARCA!!!

SAAAANNCCCCHHHHEEEZZZZZ!!!!! The boy scored a goal!!!! Awesome sauce! Barcelona 1-0 Depor then! I must say, proud the boy scored!!! I've liked what I've seen from Barcelona so far, some great play, and Thiago has been an absolute monster in midfield for us so far, a really great young talent there, I tell you! Keep up the great work boys, let's hit Depor with 4 more goals!

Quality goal, but not the best of performances as a whole and not enough created especially in the second half, although the defence kept the first clean sheet in god knows how long after being in the clubs worst defensive run in 50 years and Alexis had a very good game showing that he does have it, he just needs to be more consistent and confident in his abilities.

Thiago has been an absolute monster in midfield for us so far, a really great young talent there

He's been really coming into his own lately and is growing as a player. Will be one of the best players in the world in a few years if he keeps it up.

Good win for barca. The clean sheet will also give them a boost going into their Champions League match

Yup, Barca 2-0 Depor! Morale boosting win for us, Alexis clocked in a great performance, Thiago as well, and we kept a clean sheet! Now to give it our all against Milan!

Bilbao vs Valencia in 5 mins. Might as well give it a watch before Rovers game against Milwall.

Nothing to do today, already cleaned up the animals, did my homework yesterday...so nothing to do...BESIDES watch Atletico-Sociedad!!! I'm pretty excited about this one, hopefully it's not going to disappoint like the Malaga-Atleti match last week...I'm predicting a 2-2 draw, but maybe, just maybe, Sociedad can sneak in a win...it's hard to call this one, especially since it's at the Vincente Calderon.

Diego Costa is a lovely player.

I was just about to comment on him then.

He's developing nicely since coming back from the long injury he suffered and having a loan at Rayo.

I've always rated him since before that injury.

Atletico 0-1 Sociedad. Nice goal by Prieto, he took it well. Sociedad ripped Atletico's defence apart there. So far though, Atletico have dominated possession, although Sociedad have defended well.

Sociedad are impressing me more by the week and always seem to be up to the challenge.

tut tut Falcao, trying to score with his hand  .

Iñigo Martinez is a beast. Man of match for me today. Atletico 0-1 Sociedad. Atletico's 10 month run of winning every league home game has finally ended. I had a feeling that would happen though as Sociedad just can't be stopped lately. Only one loss in 17 for them and joint 4th, wow.

Glad that Atleti lost because now we're 14 points clear of them, but Real Madrid have now risen to second, haven't they? Sigh about that...So now they're our main rival that we have to worry again, just like old times!
