Polnische is a pretty overlooked member, so he deserves this title as recognition for his quality posting.

Thanks for the surprise nomination and votes.

I went for Bluewolf because I see him throughout the forum and he always has something to say worth reading. For new member I abstained because I don't really know enough about any of those nominees.

Appreciate the nomination again and thanks for those that have voted for me already but I think Stan might have just given me the kiss of death with his post..

Seems as though a lot of people are voicing their opinions on how the nominees come about in the first place because the staff choose don't they??

Why don't you just throw the thread open for a couple of weeks at the beginning of each month and let members choose who they would like to see win it, no nominees from the staff  just anyone we think might deserve a shout at it.. obviously the person with the most votes wins it..

That way you can absolve yourselves of all blame and if people don't vote then thats up to them.. 2 weeks should be enough I would have thought then post the result in the 3rd week.. that way it's more of a forum vote..

I went for Adziom because I see a lot more of his posts and they have some good content.. Polnische gets a worthy mention as well, both good posters..

I agree that it would be a better reflection if the members nominated but I can see why the staff do it. It would just drag on for ages waiting for everyone to nominate for the shortlist and I'm sure some people would lose interest by the time it comes to nominate for the award. I think it's more 'doable' the way it is even if it isn't really a reflection of the forum as a whole

Absolutely stunned that TomN123 was nominated though

Toughie. On one hand you have SuperPav, great fellow top dog of the Elite, would be a great leader for the forum when Scout steps down as admin. His posts regarding football are insightful and his abuse of other members and wind ups are also immense and great to read. Of course on the other hand we have ToonLad38. Literally can't go into a topic without reading his posts and he is the type of poster that is witty, intelligent and not to mention hilarious. As for the best new comer, there are a few. Gon O'Rhea has joined the forum recently and seems to be a popular member, his posts are often well thought out and hilarious. You also have MankyToes who I can see being one of the top dogs on here some day. I'll go with Pav and Gon, tough mind!
