Just as good in my opinion. Probably the worst of the 3 but that's more because 1 and particularly 2 were class

Peaky Blinders and Better Call Saul are both amazing in my opinion.  I haven't gotten around to the latest season of Peaky Blinders as I have been sort of saving it for a time when I can just binge watch the whole season.  Probably the best series I have ever watched.  Also a few others on Netflix that I have really enjoyed are The Returned(French version) and The Fall.  Any of you guys watch The Americans?  I am two seasons behind on that but really enjoyed that series.

Gomorrah La Serie (season II)... Bloody brilliant and has ended this week. But seasons III and IV have already been given the go ahead. :)

Finally got around to watching The Thick of It, probably the best political comedy ever. Not that it's a wide genre.

Finished watching the 5,6 and 7th season of Modern Family. I sometimes feel that this series doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Finally got on the Breaking Bad bandwagon. Done with the first season, and loved the dark humour and geeky stuff.

I watched Volton: Legendary Defender (the Netflix reboot) this week and was pleasantly surprised with how they paced it considering the original was one of my favorites growing up. Easy watch and the episodes are short so you can breeze through it quite quickly. The final episode was very good as well and leaves the audience with a good cliffhanger.

I'm rewatching Deadwood. Sparked by Ian McShane's cameo in game of thrones.... even better the second time through...

Yep, almost on the verge of completion of the second season and it's quite something. The best thing is that you expect the story to go in a certain direction and it gets further twisted. Why did I keep putting this off to watch for so long, I don't know.

On a side note, it's strange that Jessica Hecht plays the role of 'the lady who was the protagonist's real love but he didn't get it' in so many things.

I watched the first season of breaking bad and was disappointed to be honest.... maybe my expectations were to high. But i feel like that whole "good guy = bad guy, constantly on the verge of getting caught" concept had already been done quite a bit with The Shield, Dexter etc. Whereas shows like The Wire, GOT and Deadwood felt fresher and had me interested from the first episode.

I agree. I've tried a few times now, but the first season is too slow and boring. I'm not the type to skip a series either, but I'll try and grind through to the point where it improves.

You both are stronger men than I. After watching half the first season I had to quit, couldn't take any more of Breaking Breakfast.

I felt the exact same way about the 1st season of Breaking Bad, but I forced myself to continue watching because of the amount of hype it was getting and it ended up being a great decision. It's a fucking brilliant show.

I liked the first season but didn't think it was going to go on to become one of the best series I've seen.

With this said, I've started watching it back a bit lately and I find the first series brilliant. The reason for this is probably because I've already seen it all and I'm familiar with all the characters, unlike when I first ever watched it. To be honest it's better that a series starts slow as they usually get better. Sons of Anarchy is another. The first few seasons were good but not unreal, although once you get stuck into it it just gets better and better. Then you look at Prison Break, the first season is arguably the greatest single season from any series but by the time it gets to the 4th season, it just gets poorer and poorer, they lack ideas and it's just utterly terrible. So it's probably better that a series starts slow and progresses as you enjoy it more in the end.

Talking of series, I watched the first episode of "power" on netflix last night. It's produced by 50 cent and looks like it has potential. I enjoy stuff about gangs and organised crime, so I can see me enjoying this one.

As for Better call saul, I watched 5 or so episodes and then stopped, but I could see me getting into that one as well so I'm going to go back to it and carry on watching it soon I think. I don't get much time at the moment but there is always time for an episode or 2 before bed.

But this is so much more than that. It just doesn't concentrate on the drugs.

Personally, I am loving every bit of it. And as for the pace, I don't think it's slow at all. It's right.

Nope. It's a really good series.

Only if you care about history. It's so 50/50, it'll make your blood boil they got it so close.

We've finished Mad Men which was quite good in the end. We're on season 4 of orange is the new black, season 1 of outcast, season 4 of Ray, season 2 of bloodline & the knick, watching a bit too much at once

I mean, I'm doing it for the same reason my DC comics-obsessed friend decided to watch Gotham: I love Rome enough that I have to watch it regardless of how good it is. I just wanted to know if it was decent enough overall.

Just finished watching season 1 of VINYL.... awesome show. HBO quality drama in the song of 1970's New York record label. Just heard it wasn't renewed for a second season which is disappointing.

Rome is still one of my top 5 favourite series, absolutely fantastic. The acting is top notch, the story, the sets. One of the few series ive baught hard copies of just to rewatch.

On another note i just finished Penny Dreadful season 3 and apparently it will be the last and they always planned it this way, they just didnt announce it until it was over. Im sad in some ways, its a fantastically dark show and unlike anything else. The cinematography was amazing, the acting was some of the best of anything I've seen Eva Green is soooo goooood. She was good in Casino Royale, She was great in 300 2 rise of an empire (otherwise a completely shit movie, they wasted her performance and character) but she was phenomenal in this show. Im a big fan now   i will miss it dearly, this show had a special place in my cold dead heart.

Just finished watching the whole of the first season of Stranger Things. Don't know if anyone's mentioned this Netflix series on here but I loved it. Set in the 80s brilliantly and a mish-mash of all of the 80s blockbuster movies and series. Can't wait for another season of that.
