Started watching Fear the Walking Dead. Quite a good spin off
Have been wanting to watch this but haven't got around to it yet. Have heard good things though.
Watched the first episode of Sense8 after hearing good things about it and with the high reputation of Netflix original series I thought I'd check it out. The concept of the show looks interesting but the script and acting was pretty terrible.
Sense8 has become one of my favourite all-time TV shows even after just one season. I will say that I found the first episode to be a bit dull when I first started watching it so when people say they watched one episode and didn't like it I usually recommend to at least watch 2 or 3 episodes before making a full judgement. I find it interesting that you found the acting and script terrible. Personally I quite liked the acting and the script and story line I adored. There were some really great scenes throughout the series that you would rarely if ever seen in most shows and the way they were done was quite good. I also really loved the sense of humour to the show too, I found it kind of refreshing compared to a lot of current shows. Even if the bare bones story line is not mind-boggling the writers have turned it into something very unique. I love the dialogue, find the character selection and character dynamics/interactions really great and thanks to those things it really brings a rather new dimension to a story line that is not particularly new in the world of action/superhero films or TV shows. But to me just that first season was better than a show like Heroes ever could be, partly because of that selection and dynamics. Without turning this into a spoiler post, it was a bit refreshing to see that "ordinary people wake up one day with superpowers" theme take a more cooperative turn where the "heroes" powers truly are interdependent rather than dominated by the same couple of characters. Not sure if that makes much sense without context, but anyway that's my two cents.
Edit: and in all that I forgot to mention what I've actually started watching lately, haha. I recently started watching Vikings and really loving it so far though only about 5 episodes in.
