You know, there's a reason nobody has really gone after Lloris/Bastos/Gourcuff yet - at Lyon's "costs" nobody in their right mind outside of an oil sheikh will pull the trigger. Aulas is actually smart for not selling low (or setting up a contract that allows a cheap sale).I'm sort of jealous of Lyon for that reason - those fans will actually get to see their stars STAY at the club for a long time.
Arteta is lightyears ahead of Martin even though technically they do not play the same position. Arsène will probably want to buy him before Lyon snatch him to resale him at an severely inflated price...

Lyon are pretty fucking big last time I checked. They're just about as big as Arsenal are in terms of RECENT success.
Arteta is average. if he's light years away from Martin then we don't want him.Kinda think Bastos is wasting his career in france, should be at a massive club.

I think players like to play in the country they are born in live. People were shocked when Neuer had the nerve to reject a move to Man Utd to sign for Bayern Munich, how could anyone reject Man Utd! Lyon are a top team in France and if you offer a talented French player the choice of the biggest best team in France or a top 3, 4 team in England I'm tempted to think he'll stay in France. And I find much of the talk of how "big" you team is a bit arrogant and meaningless.
