I wonder how long the current top 2(Valencia and Villarreal) will last? It would be nice to see them mount a title challenge, but I can't see them staying up there for long.

Speaking of Villarreal, Rossi and Nilmar look on fire so far this season and already have 7 goals between them. Not a bad return at all for the pairing.

We need to get this section rolling again, I'll start posting match day again but I need you as members to post and be interested. That way it may attract other members if the better posters of the forum actually post in here.

Sean, I'd say you was one of the more knowledgable newer members to the forum and would offer alot and frshmn, you might be a massive cunt, but you was one of the better members from back in the day .

In order to get the forum busy again we will have to do it together as staff and members. It's the members which make forums what they are, after all.

Seen highlights of Barca and Real this morning when i got up, and came here looking to post something.. as you say, if discussion gets going.. and even if a couple of us, people will see its active and come post themselves.

Another thrashing from Madrid, Ronaldo's 4 goals were easy though, taps in and a penalty. Still, looking good under Mourinho. Messi in fine scoring form as ever.

When's the player of the year awards?

It's been a good season so far aswell and there is alot to talk about, but when it's to yourself you get bored of it. When everyone(or even a few people are involved) with the discussion it attracts more people and the site will get busier again. People like myself, Josh, Sean, frshmn, dudacles(you want to keep this section alive you say many times, so get involved mate ), etc, it's a start atleast.

If you search "La Liga forum" in google, this section is the first thing which pops up, so if anyone searches for a la liga forum for discussion, it wouldn't look good if there was only 2 posts made a week, for example and it would put them off signing up, whereas if we were posting again and someone came across this section, they'd sign up and get involved themselves. It's the same with other sections aswell, even the Premier league one because if we are honest, it's the Prem which will gain the most attention on here as we're on a more english based forum.

January, I think it might go to Sniejder or Xavi.

Edit: Where is Luca these days also? I know he is more of a Serie A man, but his input in here would also help this section of the forums alot.

Suck a fat cock then, we could have had a nice bit of discussion going on in here.

Fag

Talking of La Liga I'm just watching a bit of the Sevilla vs Bilbao game now, it's 3-0 to Sevilla so far and it appears as though the change of manager has done them well. Fabiano is having his way with Bilbao this evening. There is a tastey fixture on at 8 too, Villarreal vs Atletico which should be a good one.

Just as I wrote that about Sevilla, Bilbao have just scored 2 goals within 2 minutes, Llorente with both, that lad is on fire lately. 10 mins to go, can Sevilla hold on?

Scumbao didn't threaten to release the noxious gas yet? how unprecedented. they must be waiting for them to turn their backs, the slippery cowards...

It's now 4-2 to Sevilla, Bilbao look beaten. Kanoute with a pen, he's scored 2 pens in this game.

Updated this for Christmas, there will be no more games now from January, I'm going to miss La Liga action for the next few weeks :xmassad:

Look at that top 15/16 list of scorers, a quality bunch of players and people say this league is like the scotish league pffft.

La Liga is similar in only one way to the SPL ... the top two teams dominate.  And that's the only similarity.  The rest of La Liga is stacked with talent.  I love watching games involving teams other than Real and Barca.  The only time I'll watch those 2 is if they are playing each other.  Like you, I look forward to the resumption of the season.

If Higuain wasn't injured though I bet he'd be up there himself. I think Madrid miss his goals right now as you can't rely on just one man for goals, there needs to be others chipping in aswell.

Benzemas hit and miss, he can save the day or he can be completely shit. Be interesting to see if Adebarndoor pulls his finger out of not.

Forget the superstars for once and just look at what Trezeguet is doing at Hercules. 10 goals and they're out of the relegation zone.

Yeah I've been impressed by trezequet and to be honest, I'd say he was a star himself. He has won the world cup after all!

He's doing well though and not just his goals but his first touch is class. It's good to see that he's doing well this season to be honest.

Nilmar is back from injury now aswell and has resumed to scoring as he was before he was injured. If it wasn't for his injury, then he'd probably be on around similar to what Villa is now.

watched the highlights for Atletico Madrid/Villarreal, Reyes looked pretty brilliant in that game and the goal he scored was magnificent. Rossi & Aguero also scored decent goals while Forlan ended his goal drought. Villarreal still look good for 4th place though, 10 pts ahead of 5th (Espanyol have a game in hand though) and 12pts ahead of Atletico Madrid.
