Only one game(other than Barcelona and Real) played today, which was Deportivo 3-1 Tenerife. Moving them closer to the Champions league spots, after Sevillas loss tonight against Madrid.

Good result for Mallorca as they won 3-0, capitalising on Sevillas loss, in the fight for top 4. After this weekends results it means that, Mallorca are now sat in 5th, but are only behind 4th place Sevilla, on goal difference. Athletic Bibao beating Valldolid 2-0, means they, themselves are now only 3 points behind the 4th spot in 7th, with Deportivo one point behind 4th, in 6th places, after their 3-1 win against tenerife, yesterday. Espanyol have moved up a place, even if they only held Villareal to a 0-0 draw(who still stay 8th), after Malaga were hammered, unexpectedly at home, 2-4, by a struggling Xerez team. Atletico Madrid move up one, although a 1-1 results against Real Zaragoza, in Zaragoza, wasn't a convincing one. And Osasunas 0-0 draw with Getafe, mean they move up one place into 11th, wereas Geftafe stay 9th.

The leagues still looking tight, from top to bottom.
