Come on Everton!

2-0 to us Pienaar early in the 2nd half and then Yakubu/Vaughan/Victor on the break in injury time

We should win this, but then we won at their's in the league last season and couldn't beat them in two home games - the cup draw seeing us lose the replay. Bitters haven't won at Anfield since 99/00, Mike Riley referee, three sendings off including substitute Gerrard and the keeper, and a 4th minute winner.

We really need a win so I suspect it'll end all square.

the bitters. you've got to laugh at the reds who come out with that. why on earth would we be bitter about liverpool? your club do nothing but amuse me mate. don't get me wrong i fucking despise your club and fans but thats called a rivalry. but being bitter? i don't think so.

on the match front i think the dogs of war will sneak it one nil. kuyt to score.

reasons not to be bitter of liverpool fc

badgeman
doctor fun
your self pity nature
the SOS (snigger)
the yanks
robbing your own fans tickets in athens 2007
your cringey 'friendships' with celtic, athletico madrid and fiorentina
THOSE armani suits (96 final)
the spice boys
your sick songs about lee carsley's disabled child
the anfield rap
begging arabs to rescue you from the yanks
afc liverpool (cringeworthy copy of fc united)
rafa
one piece away from finishing the jigsaw (winning the league) for 20 years
the speaker system in the kop to make your crowd sound louder than it actually is.
nicky alt
the liverpool urchins . what a shower of pricks they are.
the fact that the average scouse red has never been to a game
RECLAIM THE KOP . pmsl
michael shields and the mosaics
the tesco bags at the goodison derby
fuck off to kirkby, the city's all ours (what city is that then karachi, dublin oslo?)
14 to west ham
shitting on shankly and him dying an evertonian.
burning gerrard shirts and then licking his arse after gangsters forced him to stay
the alan smith ambulance incident
the way your fans still call utd fans 'MUNICH's' despite your own club suffering a horrendous tragedy.
rafa's FACTS
rafa's cardinals. hahahaha. how fucking cringeworthy can you lot get.
the 2007 champions league bus. WE WON IT SIX TIMES http://www.youtube.c...h?v=1fCf8RAco4o HAHAHAHA

Got my ticket for this today. Fucking COYB.

We're playing well enough and with Fellaini in the middle, we'll always have a chance with the form he's on. Made up they have no Torres so with Heitinga at the back, I'm confident we can shut them out. If Saha and Arteta play I think we have a very good chance.

I'm going to back up what Ainsley says though, on Sunday morning at least I know I'll be proud to wake up an Evertonian come win lose or draw. '14 to West Ham' love it.

We may never have your glory - but we'll never have your shame. COYB.

And you lot are whiter than white aren't you, racially abusing your own fans :congrats: Keep your sense of false moral superiority, theres dickheads who support every club and every club has it's black marks.

Back to the game, we're at home so we should win but with Everton's form and it being a derby anything could happen. I bloody well hope we don't lost or else there right up behind us but i'm confident we'll nick it.

Liverpool 2.1 Everton

What's the story behind those?, "14 to West Ham", "Shitting on Shankly"?....

Hope Everton win this. Think they could sneak something.

I've not spoken to many sensible Liverpool fans that think the club is without fault, i'd suggest those that believe otherwise are probably amongst the people who cause many of the said faults.

when shankly left liverpool he was completely pushed out of the club and for some reason he was not made welcome at anfield or melwood.

he was invited by everton to bellefield to mentor and help out the kids. basically making the great man welcome. he is famous for saying he was made more welcome at everton than at liverpool in his latter years. what a disgraceful way to treat the man who made liverpool fc the club they are.

the 14 to west ham was a liverpool game in the 70's when only 14 fans turned up for the 2 'ordinary' trains to take the liverpool hordes to upton park. the shit turn out was because the liverpool fans were afraid of west hams reputation.. in them days the ordinary train was the transport of choice for football fans all over england. there was under 100 reds in the away support that day.

It's not as cut and dry as that though is it. Throughout his managerial career Shankly was at odds with the Liverpool directors who sold players without his consent and whom he blamed for missing out on key players he wanted like Howard Kendall. When he retired he came back for pre-season to train with the club and everyone was calling him 'Boss' and Paisley 'Bob' even though he'd retired. He even started taking training and was undermining our new manager and making it quite awkward. In the end Paisley had to remind him he wasn't the boss anymore and he was told to stay away from Melwood. Unlike Busby who got put on the Board of Directors and was allowed to still have influence at United, Shankly had burnt those bridges whilst he was in charge so the Directors wouldn't consider it. It was a shit way to end his career but not entirely our own doing, he just couldn't let go and probably shouldn't have retired.

the board of directors could of handled it better though. look at it the way kenny dalglish is back at anfield now after walking out on liverpool. shankly for me is liverpool fc.

no point in arguing about this though as it was fucking years ago. lol.

Dalglish retired and left, was a bit shitty on his part to go straight to Blackburn after retiring but the Board has changed since then. As i said Shankly was being a disruptive influence and had pissed off the directors so they got their own back. Obviously it was a crap way of handling it cos i would have loved to have had Shankly as a Director but when egos get invovled these things happen. Wasn't arguing with you, merely pointing out that it wasn't a simple case of us telling Shankly to piss off once we'd finished with him. The real shame is that he only managed to live another 7 years after retiring.

don't worry about the pun mate. as the facts actually show manchester suffers more than liverpool when it comes to car theft and burgalry etc. http://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif

I can see Everton causing us real problems on Saturday. There is a huge chance of a blue win this week.

It's Moyes' 600th game in management so I can see an upset on the cards.

I can't call this game, it really is so tight.

Strange because I've noticed a rise in the number of Scousers around Manchester in the last couple of years :P

On topic though, I can see Liverpool winning this 2-0 however if Everton can get an early goal I can see Everton winning it, it all depends on who scores first in my eyes.
