According to reports, Brown was set to be offered it last week before the less-than-satisfactory result. However, with the 2-0 win today over St Mirren, some rumours are surfacing that he is set to become full-time manager of Motherwell.

Any thoughts on Craig Brown being offered the Motherwell job full-time?

Don't think they'd get anyone better, and with more experience, if they decided not to appoint Brown permanently. I know the manner of the defeat to Inverness midweek is a disappointment but they've had two comfortable league wins from two, they've looked decent in both from what i've seen. The club has a good mix of youth and experience and I think Brown is the best man to make the most of that. I reckon the fans and players would be in favour of him getting the job full time as well.

I reckon that craig brown could produce the goods. But only time will tell.

falkirk away on the 27th for motherwell, thats his next challenge, bottom of the table , should be 3 points but then again celtic probably thought that and they drew 1-1

What a great start hes having at Motherwell, 2-0 up again today early on against Hearts. Hes pretty old too isn't he? Hes still got it though! Really turning Motherwell's fortunes around.

He's ancient, think he's nearing 70.

Two manager of the month awards in a row,

Cannot whack it!

Yeah, he'll be 70 on his next birthday. It's crazy but he's doing a cracking job at Motherwell so far. All credit to him and his team.

What sort of contract is he on? Is it short term just for this season or longer?

When he arrived originally, it was only a short term measure. Jim Gannon had left the side lacking motivation and in a bit of a state so Craig Brown and his team came in to change that. I'm not sure if anything has been extended. As I said earlier in the thread, it was supposed to be done and dusted with regards to a long-term deal a while ago but there was a slight slump which made the board re-assess things. I think now he'll get this longer term thing. He's a good ambassador for Scottish football in my opinion.
