After all these years a genuinely quick, skilful, bright, clever, left footed English winger is on his way, in the shape of the Swindon Town school boy Alex Henshall. The life of a flying winger isn't an easy one - that's why there's not many quality ones around in Europe.

It'll be interesting to see which top club signs him before he leaves school. Manchester United will no doubt see him as the perfect replacement for Giggs but I'm more concerned that England have a gem at last.

I always follow Roy Walker's advice. I say what I see. But yeah. I get your point - some of the shit people come out with...

(2 games - total 60 minutes play - but enough)

60 minutes of lower league football is enough to determine if a player will be a star in the future?

He hasn't played for the first team yet. But yes 60 minutes is enough to see he be our best left winger since Gawd knows when.

I certainly hope he is. Best of luck to the young lad.

My cousin watched him against Fulham reserves as he was watching his mate at right back, says he didn't really do much all game and was kept quiet throughout.

Think it's a bit naff gaining erections over players so early when they haven't even made reserve appearances for their club, let alone the first team, half the time they've just blossomed before the rest of their age group.

Swindon reserves against Fulham? They are not in the same league are they?

That's not true (apart from the erections point) but I am aware my sightings of him have been when he's come on as a sub and it has presumably been easier for him to put in turbo charged performances. I do wonder also about the problems of being so one footed (and why coaches in this day and age allow it).

I should stress he's not another Walcott - he's actually got a brain. A sort of white Ryan Giggs you could say.
