It seems that the talks between Luca Toni and AS Roma are almost complete and that he will be back in Italy early in the New Year.
Please add any news about transfers or exchanges or loan deals affecting BL players in this thread rather than starting a new one for every deal.

Happy New Year meine liebe Damen und Herren..

Bundesliga club SC Freiburg have reached an agreement with Metz for the transfer of Senegalese striker Papiss Cisse. The fee agreed is rumoured to be somewhere around 1.6 million euros. Cisse will officially join his new team mates this Saturday. source Soccernews.com 29 Dec 09

Anyone know anything about a midfielder named Pierre de Wit, formerly of Leverkusen? Lautern acquired him earlier this month and I haven't a clue about him.

Pierre was born in Köln, he grew up in the suburb of Chorweiler.

De Wit began his career 1992 with SC Köln Weiler Volkhoven and was in 2005 transferred to Bayer 04 Leverkusen. After one year in the A-Youth (U-19) of Bayer 04 he was promoted to the first team squad and he made his debut on 8 November 2006 in the 3:1 win over VfL Bochum. After the season, de Wit left Leverkusen and joined VfL Osnabrück on loan. He played for VfL Osnabrück for two years, playing 47 games, and scoring five goals. On 30 June 2009, returned to Leverkusen but after his return played only for Leverkusen's reserve team. On 3 December 2009, he announced his signing with 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

He is married to a Turkish-German girl Sevgi Özdamar, he is a close friend of Abdullah Keseroglu and his uncle is the former 2. Fußball-Bundesliga kicker Dirk de Wit. Not sure if he qualifies for Germany or Holland (or both) at International level....

Look forward to seeing you back at Gelsenkirchen next season but please, no more rubbish like the last game before Christmashttp://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/tut.gif . Also nice to see John back with us after missing the last games.

Haven't seen him play a lot, but from what I've seen and heard, he's a hard-working kid with a very high work rate. He's quite an allrounder in midfield (mostly plays as CM though), with a good shot technique, prefers offensive play and definitely has the potential to be a good player in the highest level. Yet, he's very injury prone, as it seems, and if I'm not mistaken, he's recovering from some injury at the moment as well. If he manages to stay fit, this should be a great transfer for 1.FCK.

Other transfer news so far:

Hannover have signed former Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Uwe Gospodarek until the end of the season.

Hertha Berlin have signed Greece international Fanis Gekas on loan from Bayer Leverkusen to strengthen their attack in their fight against relegation. They also have secured their second signing ahead of the winter break in Germany by capturing Levan Kobiashvili from Schalke. In addition, Czech defender Roman Hubnik has agreed to join them on a six-month loan deal from FC Moscow, having been on loan at Sparta Praha since January 2009.

Magnin left VfB Stuttgart for FC Zürich.

Hey nudge that's not fair - I've been trying to keep the Kobi move quiet in the hope that Felix would repent and bring him back. I am still going to leave him on my fav list and hope he can get Hertha out of the poor defensive mess they are in. Now that would be something!

Sorry for ruining it for you :P
It's good to see Hertha trying to solve their problems, the position they're in is bad though, and it will be interesting to see if they manage to avoid relegation this season.

I wonder if 96 signing Gospodarek makes sense really, considering he was retired already, and his only good spell was in Bochum some 15 years ago :what: Hannover are very much relegation candidates as well, and I think they should have signed a proper first-choice goalie instead, as Fromlowitz is too inexperienced yet and makes too many blunders to at least partially compensate the loss of Enke. Gospodarek can't make it either, I suppose.

Nurnberg have signed defender Breno and midfielder Andreas Ottl on loan from Bayern Munich until the end of the season.

Luca Toni will join AS Roma on a loan-deal until June 30th, 2010.

EDIT: Brazilian striker Edu from Korean outfit Suwon Blue Wings signed a 3.5 year contract with Schalke 04.

EDIT #2: Midfielder Alexander Baumjohann has joined Schalke after only half a season at Bayern Munich.

Schalke have completed the transfer of midfielder Peer Kluge from Nürnberg for a fee of €1.5 million. It's not official yet, but the reports are flying around, and it's expected to be confirmed this week.

EDIT: The deal is official already.

Now, with more interesting rumour:

Quote

Milan are ready to leap into the transfer market and offer Wolfsburg €25 miliion cash and strike Klaas-Jan Huntellar in exchange for Edin Dzeko.

L'Equipe
reports the Rossoneri have opened up dialogue with the German side and are ready to throw the dice for the powerful Bosnian striker.

Milan have been chasing Dzeko since early on in last summer's transfer window, and although a move couldn't be agreed before the first September deadline, they now appear confident of clinching a deal. To help facilitate the move, Huntelaar will be used as bait to entice the German outfit into reaching an agreement.

What do you think about it?

Not knocking the Dutchman but if Wolfsburg wants to compete they'll keep Dzeko regardless of the cash involved. Huntelaar is no where near the talent that Edin is. I'm not sure how long he's locked in with the Wolves but honestly I think if they hold on to him he's only going to become better and more valuable on the market. Not much of a deal for Wolfsburg.

I agree, I also fail to see how Wolfsburg would really benefit from this deal at this moment. To sell one of their best player, who's constantly scoring goals, and receive another striker who's talented, yet failed to impress anywhere since his move from Ajax? There's a chance Huntelaar would become a consistent scorer as well, yet if he needs time to adapt (which is very likely) and wouldn't deliver soon, Wolfsburg's hopes for any achievements would be doomed. In my opinion, they should hold on to him till the end of the season, and he seems to be perfectly fine with that, yet unfortunately, they probably have no chance of keeping him longer.

Meanwhile, Stuttgart have completed the loan signing of Juventus left back Cristian Molinaro, with a view to a permanent move at the end of the season.

Kuranyi has stated he is staying at Schalke until July - this follows enquiries from both Sunderland and Birmingham about his availability. Pliatsikas has torn knee ligaments so will be out for 6 months after an injury in tarining on Monday and after Asamoah's six goals against a schoolboy side in Spain, Hamburg are still interested (I hope). There's still time.....

Asamoah would be a good ridance. Yet speaking of Kuranyi, his contract expires this summer, so Schalke might even lose him for free, if they don't extend it. That would be a blow.

I still believe that Kevin has ambitions to play European Football again. If Schalke continue at the top end of the table then that will be his only chance. Other clubs interested in him will not be in the Champions League - possibly the new Cup format, but not the best one - Kevi's only chance will be to stay at Gelsenkirchen. Could be worth watching this one a bit longer....

New Kuranyi-rumours today, saying Chelsea are interested in him. Makes no sense ( I think it's from the NOTW anyway).

VfL Bochum have signed Milos Maric from Beligium first league club KAA Gent. Meanwhile, Ono has left Bochum for Japanese first league team Shimizu S-Pulse.

Real Madrid's striker Adam Szalai joined Mainz 05 on a loan until the end of the season.

Reports surfacing in Germany claim AC Milan are still locked in negotiations with Wofsburg over Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko.

Despite Wolfsburg’s insistence that they are not in contact with the Rossoneri, German newspaper Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung claims Milan have made a fresh approach for the Bosnian.

While a multiple of possible deals have been suggested, including a swap deal involving Milan’s Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, fresh reports now claim that the Italians hope to tempt Die Wolfe into parting with their star striker by offering the Bundesliga outfit two defenders in a players plus cash deal.

Marek Jankulovski and Kakha Kaladze are said to be the two players Milan hope will entice Wolfsburg coach Armin Veh into letting his prolific striker go.

With both players already over 30 years old, it is thought Milan will also have to include a hefty sum as part of the bargain if they hope to finally land their man.

EDIT: Hannover has signed central defender Jan Durica on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow until the end of the season with an option to make the deal permanent.

Sorry guys, couldn´t find it in english, only in portuguese, but if anyone knows spanish it´s easy to read. It says that Wolfsburg offered 20 million dollars for Miranda, São Paulo had already accepted but Miranda refused because he wants to stay in Brazil until the World Cup. After it, he will leave, so it will be interesting to follow Wolfsburg interest.

Miranda is really good, in my opinion, the 2nd best brazilian central, only behind Thiago Silva.

I read this in German media as well, but I doubt it's going to happen, the price seems somewhat unrealistic for Wolfsburg. Unless they sell Dzeko, that is.

EDIT: Tunisian sensational left back Aymen Abdennour is very close to joining German giants Werder Bremen. He's been training with us for quite some time, and has left a good impression. The rumours say we've already signed him (one can already buy the shirt with his name on the back in the official fan shop!).

Oh, and one more Wolfsburg rumour :what: :

Highly rated defender Gabriel Milito could be set to leave European champions Barcelona as German outfit Wolfsburg show an interest in the centre-back, according to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung.

bild.de claims that the deal is done and will be announced later tonight or tomorrow. According to them, HSV paid 800k to secure a loan till the end of this season, with an option to buy him for 14-17m.
