It's just a natural progression with the way the internet is.

Forums were popular 5 to 10 years ago before social media really took off. The only people you really see on forums these days are people who have been on forums for a few years. Footballing discussions, images, videos and shit have all transferred over to the bellend bibles etc.

I come on here because I talk with people that I know by more than just a screen name.  Over time, we slowly share more and more of ourselves on here - and that personal touch means that simple sporting conversations don't feel like slamming letters into a chat box.

You never really get to "know" the other person you're replying to on reddit.

The pluses of the upvote system include that people feel like they have a reputation to protect and won't turn to abuse so easily. The downside means they're less likely to contradict a developing circlejerk. 4chan and Reddit both have unique strengths. Love em both.

I think they're both fundamentally flawed to be honest. It's nigh on impossible to have a sensible discussion on 4chan because people aren't accountable for their comments and reddit, as you say, is circlejerk city.

I don't post a great deal on any site but I firmly believe the 'old school' style forums like this are the best on the net.

Well I was just visiting, I didn't stay in Glasgow, I stayed in Carlisle. Sort of regret that now as I enjoyed the parts of the City Centre I saw. The areas round Celtic and Rangers' grounds was awful but I expected that.

Glasgow was positively summer-esque compared with Carlisle last night, that was disgraceful.

I always get request on FB from girls who look incredible mind you, but just created their profile (shady), and have 3-4 photos of 'themselves', but all are clearly different people with the only thing in common being that they are half nude.

Sounds more a mix of Irish and Scottish than geordie.

Some of the slang is geordie slang but the accent is literally miles off.

Sent home from work two hours early today after we went twenty-four hours without any water, which led to chaos with dishes and making drinks before people realised the toilets stopped flushing, which led to absolute chaos.

For a company that claims to be amongst the Top 100 in it's field in the UK, I've never known a worse or more disorganised place to work.

The things I could say about the company I work for, customer service based yet seen customers made to wait all weekend without a working toilet because the managers didn't want to pass back to contractors as it would go against their names

Currently updating my CV and it's basically an absolute wank-fest over myself. It's one of those ''Catch 22'' scenarios where you don't want to come across like an arrogant twat but at the same time want to get the point across that you'd take the job with two firm hands and smash it out of the ball park.

Has it been proven that dickpics increase the likelihood of being offered an interview?

Depends. If the person receiving is a 60 year old, straight man, almost definitely not.

dickpics help immensely. just not in this situation .

CV's & Cover letters are there for exactly the reason you say - you gotta sell yourself. You kind of have to come across in a way that you might not feel comfortable with.

I do hate them days when you get up and struggle to motivate yourself to get into gear... I am leaving for work in 10 minutes and my body and mind are just not at the races at the moment.. I am hoping that the brisk walk to work will provide me with some inspiration along the way.. put a bit of a spring in my step..

Had a day like that yesterday, myself. Was having a hard time getting up so I decided to throw myself in the shower for a bit until I felt awake. Ended up just taking a 30 minute shower and getting out feeling as tired as I did before.

Feel like that for work in general. Been having a few issues with work and I generally don't have the motivation to even get in on time, let alone do the work.

Just need to walk in there with the mentality that the jobs already yours and you're just discussing with them why.

I've done that with the only 3 job interviews I've ever had and got all 3 jobs.
