I love it
I'm not following Copa del Rey I'm afraid, so how does it works? Does the winner automatically qualifies for the next round?

home and away competition format for the time being love. goal differential then away goals decide the club that advances. GREAT start for Real Madrid, wouldn't you agree?

well, they cant win La Liga and are out of the CL. i would have been surprised if they didnt go for this one. as long as they're in La Liga next year, they can rebuild, but it would be nice for the fans to at least do well in one competition.

Indeed. However, I'm sure a few players may consider their future if they only just manage to remain in La Liga come the end of the season. I'm certain that that won't be the case though. Florez is off to a winning start, which is nice to see...

Quote

Alcorcon' s achievement meanwhile knocked a sizeable dent in Pellegrini's pre-match assertion that Real's ambition was "to win every competition".

actually, one or two competant defenders who know what they're doing, and it would be a VERY long La Liga campaign for everyone. but i'll do as you're doing and enjoying it while it lasts! go (to hell) galacticos!

Dudek, Arbeloa, Metzelder, Albiol, Drenthe, M. Diarra, Granero, Guti, Van der Vaart, Benzema, and Raul. five player said to be the best at one point or another and they cannot beat a third tier squad? their own youth player scored against them. Juanma had a great match from he reports, and i cannot help but think of the headlines for the next two weeks.

haha Real Madrid are fucking pathetic. So much for Real having a much better start to the season, huh erick?

They had a strong enough squad out there to beat "lesser" La liga teams, nevermind third tier team.

and well done Sevilla for progressing. My money is on these to lift to trophy this season, although Barça will still be the favourites(as they will for La Liga).

LOL @ Madrid. This is seriously very embarrassing..

1 possible trophy to acquire this season down the drain... and so the pressure mounts...

And to think, Madrid fielded a very competitive squad...

Yeah, it was same last season in this round too. Real Madrid lost to a team called Real Union and Villareal got hammered 5-0(6-1 on aggregate) off a minnow called Poli Ejido.

Pedro grabbed up a brace and Gai Assulin finally made his official debute. looked promising from the reports (game didnt come on here unfortunately). there were two more debutants as well, all from the youth academy. that's unbeaten in the past 10 Cup performances, isn't it? Pep has yet to face defeat in this competition. beautiful.

also, fair play to Getafe and Rayo as well. good wins.
