The battle for the Pichichi looks like its already underway. Plenty of goals being scored so far and many great talents like C.Ronaldo, David Villa, Ibrahimovic, Xavi, Kaka, Messi and the likes are all living up their expectations, whether its through assists, or goals. Its gona be an interesting and exciting season in La Liga this year.

I agree, Messi will be up there on the assists and the goals scored, proving he also helps the team aswell as scoring

As it stands, Barça are dominating the race for the puchichi(and the assist chart).

Atletico needs a coach with a similar style to how Javier Aguirre had them. his transfers and tactics suited the club. didnt always get the best results, but they need to have a certain mentality at the club. Resino got up his own ass when he finished fourth with the club, then tried to implement his style of tactics, which flopped. now they have Flores, so i'm hoping they're already looking for a replacement. Villarreal needed Pellegrini. simple as. he was a tactical wizard with them. he fails with Madrid because he has so many egos, stars, and strain. with Villarreal, he was more free to take chances and the players respected him for leading them well.

The only problem with this one you posted, is the assist list isn't correct.

Updated from week 17 and after last nights affairs, Messi is now joint top of both the top scorers and assists list. Not bad considering that it doesn't even feel as though he is in top form yet  .

I was thinking that, he doesn't seem to of hit the heights he can, but he is top of both  He just makes it look so effortless and easy, his 3rd goal yesterday is a perfect example of that.

Chances of Barca going undefeated all season? :P

Nice thread Chris http://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif be nice if a Prem Mod could do the same as this in the Prem section.

Noticed Messi got a hattrick in their 5-0 win the other day, he was behind Ronaldo not so long ago...im glad i stuck with Messi though, he'll come out on top between him and Ronaldo i know it http://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/greengrin.gif

He got another 2 in the league game after the 5-0 aswell. 5 in the last two games, he's on fire at the moment.

exact opposite for Zlatan though. i'm hoping that someone else starts regularly banging them in too. Bojan or Pedro preferrably.

Yeah, Ibras always looking frushtrated lately, but if he is to get a goal, he will begin another run of form, in my opinion.

I agree, I think Barca was 'Ibra' focused at the start of the season, i think to do with the price tag he carried (being the new foward and allowing a new option for us), plus trying to fill Eto's shoes and also he has been looking to prove a point after much criticism of not being able to perform when it matters the most. But since players like Messi, Pedro and even Keita have stepped it up he appears a little quiet. Would like to see 20+ this season from Ibra but as long goals/success comes along i don't mind who scores them

Yeah, even though Ibra has gone on a bit of a drought, he is still the 4th top scorer in La Liga and has a good goal scoring ratio. He just needs to get himself a goal soon, then he will probably hit form again and go on another scoring run.

Updated this thread. Messi's still ripping the league apart as it stands .

Yeah, they are "oportunistic" goals .

Scored some crackers this season and pulled off alot of his magic to set goals and chances up for others alot this season. Seems to get better.

GK view was blocked by the defenders. Also, it came from another short pass. http://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

Higuain's goal was CLASS. Best goal of La Liga so far, tbh.

Yeah hope Ibra gets his scoring boots soon, need to make use of his height aswell, haven't gone for too many headed goals recently. When Erick quotes FCB as 'oppurtunistic' the guy doesn't appear to make sense. How do you mean 'oppurtunistic'? Do you mean we make the most of the oppurtunities and see them through?
