Love it:thumbsup:. If hes a spanish speaking m exican, then i know in spanish in sports 'opportunistas' is used a lot. not rocket science but italian clubs/players are opportunistas for example. in spain we recognise them as able to step up to dead ball situations and/or get the goal when it matters the most. (hence why they have a great national record but don't always play to attractive level of football as brasil for example) in other ways its considered that opportunistas are also able to have a poor game or play poorly and as soon as something small or big comes up that could slightly change the sway of a teams chance, they pounce on it until something comes out of it and then hold back. But to me that sounds nothing like FCB.

Probably, didint describe it too well but you get my drift. Unless he can come up with something else wow us with:thumbsup:

Yeah hope Ibra gets his scoring boots soon, need to make use of his height aswell, haven't gone for too many headed goals recently. When Erick quotes FCB as 'oppurtunistic' the guy doesn't appear to make sense. How do you mean 'oppurtunistic'? Do you mean we make the most of the oppurtunities and see them through?

When I say that I mean that the skills of the Barca players did not exactly set-up that goal. It's the fact that they play well in a system that seems to fit them and they seem to have a good chemistry but as far as being the best individually the answer is no. Iniesta and Messi are overrated and Ibra is known to choke on big games.

Barca are playing completely different football to the one of the season just gone so i don't understand this system thing. So if FCB use a system solely to win games and get their goals and it has nothing to do with skills? What:question:. Thats just your opinion though that messi and iniesta are overrated. im sure there are stats that actually prove that they aren't overrated ala balon d'or stats. Add to the fact that rooney of your beloved Utd said after the CL defeat iniesta was the world's best player. whose opinion is valued more? yours or balon d'or voters/rooneys. Ibra is known for being quiet in big games no doubt mr obvious but this season his performances have been quite admirable considering the change hes endured, so nice one erick:thumbsup:

Iniesta overrated? He is underrated if anything, he has been class for years, yet it was only last season when people started giving him the credit he deserved.

-Sigh- I've proved that wrong. Iniesta is not even a top ten attacking midfielder in my books. He lacks creativity skills, which players like Fabregas, Gerrard, and Ronaldinho have plenty of. I have proven my point by using stats, do I need to do it again?

Iniesta has a great range of passing, great on the ball, can weave out of small spaces and make things happen out of nothing. He may lack on the goal front and may not assist as many as he could, but his overall game is brilliant, he is an entertainer and rises to the occasion in big games, he is what you call a big game player. He fucking owned Chelsea and United. He was immense for the whole of last season and played a massive part in Spains Euro Championship win. Xavi was the player of the tournament, but in my opinion, Iniesta wasn't far behind. Infact, I chose him as my player of the euro's at the time. I don't see how he can be a player who only plays well at Barcelona either, especially when he is quality for his country too. He is a world-class individual talent and would play well anywere he went, same with Xavi.

Rooney said he was the best player in the world, and I remember seeing 2 interviews last season were Gerrard spoke on who he thought was the best player in the world and he said something along the lines of Iniesta, messi and Xavi and how much he enjoyed to watch them play.

Xavi & Iniesta --->---> Fabregas and Gerrard.

As for Messi, he has been La Ligas best performer so far this season again. Scoring and assisting more than anybody else while putting on an entertaining showing in the process. I don't see how he could be overrated?

As I was saying about Villa, he has just bagged 2 . Meaning I will update this tomorrow, as he is now the top scorer on 17 goals(with Messi on 16) and to be honest, it wouldn't suprise me if Villa is to score another, there is still 35 minutes left of the game to be played.

He really is a fucking amazing striker . Spain are classy as fuck with all this talent, Torres, Villa, Iniesta, Xavi.. there really aren't any better in the world than the current Spanish team, in my opinion.

I love these type of goals .

Villa is fucking class man, makes you wonder why a Club like Madrid didn't make him their priority player to go and sign during the summer, especially with Valencia having the trouble's they have with debt...im glad he's still playing for Valencia tbh though.

Classy player though.

Yeah, it was a good goal that Josh. I watched that game last night, it was very open and could have gone either way.

Updated this now. Messi's now scored 22, meaning he is only 1 goal short of the ammount he scored in la liga last season. It shows how he is improving even more and more all the time. He is only 1 goal and 2 assists away of equaling what he achieved in La Liga last term and that was "his season". Scary thoughts for opposition. But I would like to see him bag up more goals in the Champions league this season.

If he carries on the way he is, you can't really not give him the layers of the year awards again? If he was to win Ballon D'Or again, he'd be the first since Van Basten. Which would be quite something.. he's still only young. :ay:

I hope Mallorca finish 4th, despite everything they've been through over the years it would be a great achievement for them and the money would do them some good.

Yeah, Mallorca could definitely do with the funds at the moment. 4th place would be great for the club and I'd like to see it myself and even though they probably wouldn't go to far in the Champions league next season, it would do them good to be in it and they would deserve it from the solid performances the team have put in this term.

Another year is about to end, and another year that we stay in the top division.

Really tough year for us as we continued to struggle against teams I was hoping we would beat, and at times I was surprised we weren't lower in the table.

Oh well, next year will be here before you know it and hopefully the campaign will be better than this one.

Good to see an Osasuna fan on here. I thought you got unlucky against Madrid the other week and deserved to win. You played the better football over the 90 minutes and Real were very lucky.

Stick around, as it's good to see fans from various la liga clubs on here .

I will update this topic later on.
