Made some preparations for tomorrows party, first time our class is having an actual birthday party. I'm practicing crying, because my friend wants me to show how much I love her. Bought her a birthday card, says to my special girlfriend, at school we're a couple, and we've had a row and I'm gonna try and win her back tomorrow, it's gonna be like a tribute to her tomorrow. I was gonna save the sweet message for my other friend but I knew I would forget so I did it for my friend instead.

My friend is angry with me because I stuck a post-it note on her back and bum as a joke, but she takes everything so seriously and then she went all crazy on me, and I was like okieee...sorry.

Apparently I have some 60s look, no idea what she meant but it seems nice so I'll take it as a compliment.

I fixed the friends cast(my forms version), and I am Phoebe.

Did my Science homework, I don't know what a electromagnetic spectrum is so i ticked anything.

Revision didn't come in useful for the Maths exam. I know I've got an F. Didn't even use the tracing paper they gave me...

I miss the days of exams where you get tracing paper. sad.gif

Congrats. So I'm guessing a guy who's chosen Kaiserslautern as his favorite German club is a mere couple of handshakes away from being handed the keys to an excutive corner office with a nice view of the park and a hot secretary based on his excellent decision making skills.

Just remember us little people when you get to the top, aye. tongue.gif

Oh, and if that "60's look" remotely resembles the photo below, then, 'no' it's not a compliment.

Well done Vedran. congrats.gif
Im glad for you mate. biggrin.gif

As for me, i have a Politic Economy Exam on Friday, have more than 250 pages to review ( altough im going to read the resumes the book have, at the end of each chapter, considering it's impossible to read all of them properly). The good thing is that after this, i start my Christmas Vacations. The bad part is that the study will continue, because i have 2 other Exams in the beginning of January.

yeah, I have exams in january too, bummer isn't it?

No, I don;t think so. I don't do my hair like that, and I would never wear a curtain as pants.

Today was so hectic. It was my best friends birthday and the first half of the party was disastrous, everybody came late. And then this girl whose in my history class comes in and says that all outstanding history coursework had to be handed in today if you wanted to be entered for the exam and my jaws dropped. I still had 3 courseworks to hand in, and MS Word isn't working properly, well it's working but all the spaces between the words are dots so I've done my work on Publisher (just did 1100 words on womens contribution to the war effort). Honestly, I will cry if I don't do well in History, History is my life. The only other thing I'm good at is Business and I hate Business.

In the second half was taking pictures, giving cards and presents, and most importantly me proposing to my best friend, I completely forgot the ring so my friend lent me her plastic ring that has a star, and then I told her even if I had all the gold in the world I still wouldn't be able to afford you, and then my friend shouted "cheesy!" and I just groaned, but she said yes! And I was so happy.

And one of my teachers left today, and she said that she'll never be able to forget me and my journey, because in Year 7 I used to be the most mouthiest kid ever I always used to give teachers so much attitude and now apparently I've matured and become sensible, and she said she'll really miss me and I was just telling myself don't cry you softie, be strong. I'm gonna miss her so much, she's truly inspirational and I fully support what she plans to do and I wish her all the best.

I came up with my new year's resolutions:

don't be a pushover, don't be so gullible, gossip less, cry less, remain positive in the worst situations, and be true to myself.

Good morning all! biggrin.gif

Almost noon here really, but hey, it's all I got at the moment.

Another weekend here at work, possibly my last as I've been informed I'll be getting a new boss here in the lab on Monday, hopefully he/she will forgo having sex in the parking lot like the last one and stick around for a bit as all this overtime is killing me. Fat paychecks, but seriously, killing me.

Woke up to read two articles of note. First about America's outgoing President, Dubya 'promise to do better in retirement' Bush, who stated in an interview, "I didn't compromise my soul to be a popular guy." ... mellow.gif ... I'll just leave that preposterous utterance to stand on it's own, along with his wonderful legacy.

And the other article was about our soon to be prez, one, Barrack 'welcome to the Black House' Obamamamamamaa, who has chosen a science team -- unlike his narrow minded predecessor -- to deal with some important issues facing mankind. In his words, "It's time we once again put science at the top of our agenda and worked to restore America's place as the world leader in science and technology."
congrats.gif Thank you sir, you are off to a grand start!

One of his choices I actually had the good fortune of having heard speak a couple years back at a college banquet who's centerpiece topic was that of human genome research, professor Eric Lander of M.I.T.. The man is brilliant, at the forefront of his field, and in this lab coat wearing girl's humble opinion, a fucking splendid choice.

Full article here... http://news.yahoo.co..._on_el_pr/obama

Hopefully this isn't just all for show and the new prezzzzz will commit himself to bringing science not only back to the prominate place it once held here in the States, but more so, back into America's classrooms.

:::sips tea:::

Yeah me too, but I enjoy Science.

I've done nothing but watch TV today and I plan to do the same for the rest of the day.

Tiring day, had 2 hours sleep before waking up to get get ready for work, out all night, an unexpected outting, had fun but felt it this morning and most of the day all together. My branch just climbed up from 8th to 6th in the region's christmas competition, and we had a very good day sale-wise today, expecting us to have jumped to 4th by tomorrow, last week of the competition and could do with the extra cash.

Wifey has the bug now, both her and kiddo ill with stuffy nose, cough and temperature Had to make dinner as soon as I got beck from work and might cook something else, she's been hinting about wanting soup, gotten the hicken out and should start in 30 minutes.

Afternoon folks!

My day has been quite eventful, did a bit of shopping this morning, what a mad crowd and total nightmare that was. But I finished my Christmas shopping and am now just checking in at work to record some results (emulsion tests wait for no one!).

But while I await the numbers I took in a bit of Serie A game between AC Milan and Udinese on the break-room TV, FSC has it live, woohoo for me! Milan absolutely smoked the Bianconeri 5-1. It's been a while since I watched Ronaldinho play, he's one of my favorites, just love his enthusiasm. He plays as if he's still a little kid on some city lot, the enthusiasm and joy written all over his face.

They presented Beckham with his jersey before the match and have showed Becks and Posh in the stands no less than 10 times. mellow.gif

Later tonight it's pizza and a sad goodbye to my brother and his gal pal, they fly back east tomorrow morning.

:::sniff:::

I'm gonna miss the little bastard. sad.gif

Not a bad day, was at work, jumped 2 up to 4th as I predicted in the christmas competition as at today. Not sure if we'll still be 4th by tomorrow as we had a rather shitty day sale-wise today.

Wifey and kiddo still ill, had to ring my sis to come chill with them till I returned. Made soup for her as she hadn't had a thing all day.

Well, today has been uninteresting so I'll tell you about yesterday.

Went shopping in Wigan, Bolton AND Manchester all in one day. Stupid trains ¬¬. I then went to a party and only got home in the early hours of the morning. Had about 6 hours sleep, then had to go for a riding lesson - horrible! Came home, watched City put themself in the bottom 3 and went to sleep.

Aha there you go, told you about today aswel.
