Premier League new boys Hull City have sealed their first transfer of the summer with Craig Fagan joining The Tigers from Derby County.

A £750,000 fee was recently agreed for the forward and now the transfer window is open, the deal has been formally completed.

Fagan left Hull to join Derby in January 2007 but, after a loan spell towards the end of last season, has rejoined the club on a permanent basis.

“Hull City have completed the permanent signing of Craig Fagan from Derby County for a fee of £750,000,” read a club statement.

“Fagan completed the relevant paperwork earlier today and becomes The Tigers’ first signing of the summer having penned a three-year deal.”

Fagan failed to score for Derby last season in The Premier League and will be hoping for better luck as Hull embark on their first top flight campaign.

He's too inexperienced, and experience can be so important during a relegation battle. Phil Brown must surely be eyeing other targets of the required quality to stay up. If not, I don't see Hull being too much better than Derby were.

well, he could go for theold, released/free players, bring in 3 or 4 of em, and inject some "ok" players with what he has..., more reason I was stunned he let okocha go, was thinking he would rely on his experience and let him be like a role-model to the current squad. He was silly to let him go in my opinion, even sunderland, I hear have agreed a deal with yorke for 1 more season, obviously he's past his prime way back, but just needs that experience in the squad.

Don't know much about the lad, so won't go all negative about him, might turn out to be a good signing.

Not the kind of signing thats gonna keep them up. They need to be going for players from Prem clubs not Championship rejects.
