Greame Souness was and is simply evil.

I think he'd take anyone apart. Even now.

You wouldn't have messed with Billy Bond's either or Julian Dicks.

Here's a different take on it. You lump every footballer whose played in the premiership in a room. Last man standing wins. Whose your money on? I'd have to go for Feguson.

Duncan Ferguson- Hard as nails, would not like to meet him in a dark alley.
Vinnie Jones - Headcase, you could almost see the hatred in his eyes.
Mick Harford - Hard man.
I would say alot of that Crazy gang Wimbledon team, players such as Fashanu, Wise etc, they were all nutters.

Ferguson, he would win by any means necessary.

Actually I do have to agree with Tsatalia there. Shearer had balls, so he wouldn't back down to Keane, but as well as being a thug (Alf-Inge Haland incident) Keane could both give and take a kicking whilst also playing a decent game. Sorry but Keane WAS harder than Shearer.

Why? Because Alfie was trying to scramble the ball away and Keane goes in on his knee. Keane - Hard man? Don't make me laugh. All he did to Alfie was thuggery, whether he could his own in a fist fight remains to be seen, hard? Is he fuck. Shearer &got; Keane.

He put Vieira in his place at Highbury one season when he was having a go at Neville and Vieira is an intimidating figure Keane wouldn't back down. Not being biased here and I agree with LFoTT he could take a kicking aswell as giving it out.

Anywho's I honestly think Vinnie Jones is the hardest player in football he's just a nutcase

This is not because I'm Dutch or anythin, I just think Jaap Stam was the toughest, most feared, man in the premier league or in the world ever, period. I say this because I recall a match where Jaap Stam himself got hurt athis eyebrow in an aircollision with another player, and the wound started to bleed like mad but instead of being subbed, he casually walked to the side, stitched his wound himself and walked back on the pitch. Now that's tough.

In my opinion tough means pain-enduring, mentally as hard as rock, and respected or even feared by other players. Not being a scumbag like Luis Figo or any other latin-european bastard like Materazzi, Gattuso, Deco, I can go on like this forever... (of course I know that not all latin-european football-players play dirty, just the majority of them...)

So Jaap Stam it is.

No way, I'll never forget the time Schmeichel made Stam look like a little puff!

Julian Dicks is harder than Schmecial, and it's been proven. When Dicks scored a penalty past him, the Dane shit himself.

Dicks v Schmichal- YouTube

Twenty four seconds in. Ball goes straight past Peter's ear. I think he actually jumps out the way.
