Right first off this is not anything seriously bad against any chelsea supporter just my opinion but Frank Lampard pisses me of so much you see how mint he played tonight scoring 4 goals against ''DERBY'' he scored 4 good goals and played a stormer all around.

My problem is when it comes to doing this for his country he looks like a 2 year old kicking a ball around absoloutly shit this is why i take a dislike in him and many family and freinds take a dislike him him and in my opinion i will tell you why he plays so well for country because he is paid what 125,000 p/w or something stupid like that when playing for you're country you just have the honour its total bullshit makes me angry furious.gif

Nothing to do with Lampard, everything to do with the team he is playing in.

There is no light switch.

The only time any player in an england shirt plays a bit above average is when they have form and confidence from club level.

Unfortunately they cant just switch on and be a team. Capello has to fix that. Lampard cant. He can try and try and try, his intelligence and football brain might not come off in those surroundings.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it any better.
Derby are shite. It's not everyday you see Frank Lampard score 4 goals.

Maybe says more about Chelsea that it was a midfielder scoring most of their six.

Lampard's 19 goals (2007/8)

4 vs Derby (1 pen)
1 vs Wigan
1 vs Reading
1 vs Sunderland (pen)
3 vs Leicester (CC)
2 vs Huddersfield

1 vs Olympiakos
1 vs West Ham (pen)

1 vs Liverpool ( "pen" )
1 vs Liverpool (CC)
1 vs Portsmouth

1 vs Croatia (pen)
1 vs Germany

So if you haven't guessed those are split into groups by category

12 goals vs teams who are lower league or Premiership strugglers
2 goals vs ordinary sides, one of which was a penalty
3 goals vs good sides including one in the Carling Cup and a "penalty"
2 goals vs decent international opposition including one penalty

Not much to write home about that, explains why he's often anonymous in an England shirt - especially when he doesn't score

Anyone care to do a Gerrard one? But let's not forget Frank has been injured for a while.

Just lay off him, he's a great player yes, but if he deserves this thread there has to be at least 10 more other players worthy of threads.

So he's scored 19 goals and you're offering injury excuses?!?!?! And how predictable in latching on to a Liverpool fan's comment and immediately making an issue about Gerrard yawn.gif

Gerrards 19 domestic goals (2007/8)

1 vs Fulham
1 vs Derby
1 vs Reading
1 vs Newcastle
1 vs Newcastle
1 vs Bolton
1 vs Cardiff
1 vs Sunderland
3 vs Luton

1 vs Besiktas
1 vs Besiktas
1 vs Marseille
1 vs West Ham

1 vs Aston Villa
1 vs Arsenal
1 vs Porto
1 vs Inter

11 goals vs teams who are lower league or Premiership strugglers
4 goals vs ordinary sides
4 goals vs good sides including one in the Carling Cup and a "penalty"

I can't be arsed to do the internationals or even the penalty split outs, needless to say he takes our penalties but I've not "laid into" fat frank over that. Thread about LAMPARD so I showed who he scores against, get over yourself

Get over myself? hahahal I was just pointing out, that topics like these are fucking stupid. It's nothing to do with a Liverpool player, obviously Gerrard's a cheat and I aint particularly fond of Liverpool, but I thought someone was eventually going to make a comparison between the two english central midfield stars(theres the link Lampard and his country, which Gerrard plays for as well. Just wanted to see if both were underperforming, instead of starting another thread) And you've obviously got too much time on your hands. Okay, I'll speak about Lampard:

But let's not forget Frank has been injured for a while.

Just lay off him, he's a great player yes, but if he deserves this thread there has to be at least 10 more other players worthy of threads.

Not really, England don't play good sides.

Andorra, Estonia, Macedonia, Switzerland, Austria and tbh Russia arnt anything special.

At the last world cup we didnt play anyone good at all. Not even Portugal, they were as w*nk as us.

Gerrard has scored 3 goals in his last 11 England games. 2 of them coming against Andorra??

Its probably worth noting that this season this season Lampard has only really played Liverpool three times and Arsenal once, no one else is remotely good, he's been injured.

The goals list you showed shows Gerrard isnt scoring in the big domestic games, you can knock Lampards contribution but at the end of the day its going towards them finishing above you in the league and winning more domestic trophys.

Harvey and Anton said everything I was going to say. It's not like Lampard has been the worst player for England. Their whole starting eleven could be equally criticised. Gerrard hasn't been much better for England, nor Liverpool this season. No matter how shit the opposition, Lampard has scored 16 goals this season while being injured, and he is a midfielder. He will have over 20 by the end of the season. And let's not forget that he assists and his passing for Chelsea is top notch (and don't try to prove me wrong, I watch some of Chelsea's games just to follow Lampard).
