I'll start with our last visitors

Sunderland

How many fans did you/the away team take? - just over 5,000 officially sold out but there were plenty of seats down the side towards the east stand.

Where they loud? - during the first ten minutes yes as you could expect for 5,000 fans.

Persistent?- No, During the first ten minutes they were but on 15 minutes i turned to the away end, and said to my mate that their fans are shite. And they remained pretty much silent until a few hearty souls tried to get something going when they conceded their 3rd goal to no avail.

Stand or Sit? - All sat, which is dissapointing

Anything funny and rememerable? Not a single humorous or witty chant.

Any bother? No they remained well behaved considering their poor performance in which some fans may have spat the dummy out and had a go at the stewards.

Chant of the day "And it's Sunderland, Sunderland Fc, Who are by far the greatest team.... "

Newcastle v Barnsley:

How many fans did you/the away team take?

They had four blcoks up in the gods of the Leazes which is about 2,000. Good considering it was a midweek game.

Where they loud?

They were at times but also went through long silence patches. Seemed a bit Micky Mouse league 2 atmosphere to me.

Persistent?

I suppose so, they gave a good account of themselves.

Stand or Sit?

Being in the Gallowgate I really couldn't see, I'd have said no as a guess, my mate claims they all sat, which is disapointing.

Anything funny and rememerable?

Not really, had nothing to sing towards us as it would have been hypocritical, I think they had a dig at our poor turnout. No surprise really.

Any bother?

Not that I'm aware of, it was mainly families and kids with face paint on from what I saw outside of the ground. Although there was a bit hassle with the stewards, alot of lads were standing crammed into one area and the stewards came out in force to get us to sit, it just didn't happen though. The whole East Stand and Gallowhgate joined in with Pogo if you love the Toon, which looked good. They also stood for about ten minutes to piss the stewards off.

Favourite chant of the day (visiting side)

N/A Couldn't understand them to be honest, although there was a few from us directed at the stewards, 'Fuck off get a proper job,' and there was a good one about Cacapa.

Bolton v Newcastle:

How many fans did you/the away team take?

We took more than we are normally allocated at Bolton.

Where they loud?

At times we were deafening, but what do you expect from 3,500 Geordies pissed up watching their team win their first competetive game under Big Sam?

Persistent?

Sang from 2:55, when I arrived to when we boarded the buses, even half time was a great atmosphere.

Stand or Sit?

All stood, except the disabled fans on the front row near the main stand.

Anything funny and rememerable?

He's a dwarf, a dwarf to Sammy Lee and there was the usual ones taking the piss out of Bolton fans.

Any bother?

No, we all behaved ourselves.

Favourite chant of the day (visiting side)

Very hard, I can't remeber though, it's been too long and the alcohol has had it's way.

Rating

9/10 (Don't mean to be big headed or nwot like.)

Nice thread by the way, Kinky. I'll be reporting from every game I'm at.

I Think I'll do the pre season game against Werder Bremen.

How many fans did you/the away team take?

Only about 50 unfortunately

Where they loud?

Yeah it got rather annoying after a short while of there constant chanting

Persistent?

Unbelievably

Stand or Sit?

All of them stood

Anything funny and rememerable?

Not really but the way they celebrated when they scored you'd think they'd just won the league

Any bother?

Not really

Favourite chant of the day (visiting side)

Most of them were in German so my least favourite would have been the dickheads singing the Steven Gerrard song with Liverpool shirts on

How many fans did you/the away team take? Probably about 1000.

Where they loud? Yes.

Persistent? Yes. Carried on singing even when they were 4-0 down.

Stand or Sit? Stand.

Anything funny and rememerable? Nope.

Any bother? No.

Favourite chant of the day (visiting side) 'Liverpool, Liverpool' after we chanted 'Toulouse' at the end of the game. That was the only chant I understood of theirs.

Fulham

How many fans did you/the away team take? - around 400

Where they loud? - Not particularly.

Persistent?- Yeah, the best i can remember from Fulham. A lot of anti-Chelsea chanting.

Stand or Sit? - They had about 40 lads at the back who stood, and 10 at the front who stood and looked like they were generally having a good time. The rest in between sat.

Anything funny and rememerable? One scruffy Fulham got wound up when we scored and instead of doing the usual throat slitting sign we are so used to, decided to imitate his favourite wwe wrestler and do the Suck It Sign. He then walked down about 20 rows offering the whole of the East Stand out. Think he had to much to drink.

Any bother? The above incident was the only bit, Fulham had about 10 casuals at the front of the stand who were laughable. There was only about 10 police officers on duty.

Chant of the day A lot of anti-Chelsea and QPR songs but the pick had to be the "away in a manger...HEALLY!HEALY!HEALY!" chant which they nicked of Leeds and Northern Ireland.

Liverpool

How many fans did you/the away team take? - 5,400, Sold Out.

Where they loud? - Yes, not as loud as they could have been but when fields of anny road and best midfield in the world kicked in they were pretty much untouchable.

Persistent?- Not as good as last year, but still the best so far this season. Went quiet for large periods during the second half until they scored.

Stand or Sit? - All stood.

Anything funny and rememerable? Nothing really, just plenty of bother and hostile chanting.

Wigan fans - "If you all hate scousers clap your hands"

Liverpool fans - "Town full of Inbreds"

Wigan fans - "Town full of Smackheads"

Lfc fans - "Whats it like to shag yer ma" mixed with "stuck to the rugby"

Wigan fans then stoop to - "Are you watching Michael Shields"

Any bother? Yeah, when Liverpool scored a few lads jumped up in our end. The scousers were in a bad way, shouldnt have sat in es2 i suppose. The police came rushing up, and one Liverpool fan in the away end tried to get into our end to no avail. Very ugly atmosphere.

Chant of the day Nothing special, i am usually quite partial to 'poor scouse tommy' but they didnt sing that one. I suppose "Oooh we've got the best midfield in the world, Xabi Alonso, Momo Sissoko, Gerrard and Mascherano-ooooooo" was the pick.

Overall Rating 7/10, not as good as last year, and only sing when there winning. But still when they got going they were fantastic, and had a range of songs.

Everton V Boro

How many fans did you/the away team take? - I'm not sure of the exact number but it wasn't that many (in the hundreds)

Where they loud? Not really the whole atmoshpere was poor, only the odd chant of `Boro boro boro`

Persistent? Nope, never heard them once in the 2nd half

Stand or Sit? Not sure, I think they did abit of both.

Anything funny and rememerable? A few got kicked out after the Pienaar goal.

Any bother? Not really, not enough to cause a problem

Anything funny and rememerable? There was one of their chants where they all started jumping around in different directions, which was pretty weird and funny.

Portsmouth

How many fans did you/the away team take? - i'd guess around 3,500, but possibly 4,000. Excelant following, even with the 40 or so free coaches that Pompey put on (Whelan take note)

Where they loud? - Yeah, definately the best set so far this season. Loud and clear, are them pompey fans.

Persistent?- Yep, i'm not fond of the Pompey songs though. They usually keep singing the same song for about 10 minutes with no words, however they did mix it up a bit today.

Stand or Sit? - All stood.

Anything funny and rememerable? Got a picture of that Mr.Portsmouth fella on me phone, funniest thing was these wigan fans who had barely hit puberty in the corner shouting insults at the Pompey fans. The pompey fans were simply pissing themselves, one of our lads looked like quasimodo and even the police were filming it whilst pissing themselves. I'm sure they could entertain themselves at half time of the rugby. All you need to imagine is a 10 year old shouting across the stand, and offering a 40 year old fan out.

Any bother? One of theirs got chucked out for "over celebrating", fucking w*nk stewards. And one of our fans tried to but a steward but about five escorted him out the ground an probably slapped him with a 75 year ban.

Chant of the day Pompey's was definately "Hello Hello We are the Pompey Boys" possibly the best rendition of that song i've heard to date as they sung it slow, loud, and very clear.

Overall Rating 9/10 - the best easily this year, but by no means were they special. They let themselves down with the "easy" chant, in which i'm sad to report that the majority joined in. Otherwise, a fine example of how to support your team.

How many fans did you/the away team take?

They brought about 1,500 up, which is decent for a Monday night.

Where they loud?

Not really.

Persistent?

Nope, only sang at the start and after their goal.

Stand or Sit?

Everyone apart from the back four rows sat.

Anything funny and rememerable?

Fat bloke in their end giving us the w*nker sign, so he just got abuse for twenty minutes non stop. Was hilarious.

Any bother?

Nope, all well behaved.

Favourite chant of the day (visiting side)

'Oh when the Spurs...'

Rating

Would be harsh to say they were shite, and it was a Mondasy night, so I'll say, 4/10.

Newcastle v Portsmouth.

Where they loud? How many fans did you/the away team take?

Out of the 1,500 allocation, they had about 1,300ish, quite a few empty seats towards the right side of them.

Persistent?

Aye, the usual chants, were a bit quiet after half time, didn't really get too excited until they got their fourth.

Stand or Sit?

About fifty of them sat just behind the balcony, the rest all stood.

Anything funny and rememerable?

Not really....

Any bother?

Nope.

Favourite chant of the day (visiting side)

Erm....Can't describe it really....

Rating

8/10. They brought quite a few considering the distance, and they did make themselves known. However, the quiet patch after half time, and some of their chants, 'Where's your Shearer gone,' let them down. As well as them all doing easy.

John Westwood is a twat.

Chelsea

How many fans did you/the away team take? - Around 4,400.

Where they loud? - They were fairly loud and clear, yes.

Persistent?- For the first 35 minutes or so they were pretty good.

Stand or Sit? - Most did stand, a few oldies never though towards the front and sides.

Anything funny and rememerable? At half time a Chelsea fan in his late 40's came over towards the east stand doing the usual. Getting his money out, then he proceded to put about 5 tenners into his mouth for some reason. He was pissed as.

Any bother? Nothing to report

Chant of the day 10 men went to mow was superb and clearly the chant of the day, but it only just shaded "you might aswell go home" which was summing up my exact feelings after there second. Fortuanately, our support woke up and it was a great day and atmosphere from 35 minutes until the last whistle. However, i was suprised that Chelsea sang "Who are ya?".

Overall Rating 7/10, same as Liverpool. Not quite a sell-out, tickets were only on the cheap, and they did have free travel but still a good following. They were excellent in the first half, easily taking the piss out of our lacklustre support and singing plenty of ditty's about Tottenham and stuff. However, when we decided to start the Chelsea fans all went to sleep and started concentrating on the match. Basically the first half Chelsea's fans were taking the piss out of us, and in the second the roles had reversed with some ironic chanting of "shall we sing a song for you". Fairplay to Chelsea though, they had ago.

God knows why everyone thinks singing "who are ya" is for bloody girls. I mean, i know Soccer AM have hyped up the chant and made it seem a bit cheesy, but they didnt start the chant. I remember standing in the old west terrace at Highfield and have about 3,000 bald brummies shouting that towards us, i was absolutely shitting my pants. Didnt sound so cheesy then i must admit.

Newcastle

How many fans did you/the away team take? - They filled their (admittedly shite) allocation of 2,000 or so. Wasn't their faults, they'd have taken more if they could have

Where they loud? - Any other game it'd have been exceptionally loud but the game was a sell out and you could hardly hear them over our fans. Still excellent though

Persistent?- Definately. Both sides suffered a bit of a quiet period at the start of the second half, but it lifted again after the goals

Stand or Sit? - They stood as far as I can remember

Anything funny and rememerable? - Cashley sitting among the fans, not particularly funny or memorable but there you go

Any bother? - Aye, I think I saw a couple of them getting escorted out, but it's expected at a derby game tbh

Chant of the day - They sang all their chants (I think), although like I said you could hardlies hear them until they scored. They did that camden races or whatever its called

Overall Rating 9/10 - Best atmosphere i've ever experienced at a game so far. We should have derbies more often

Manchester City

How many fans did you/the away team take? - 5,400, Sold Out.

Where they loud? - Yes, good following from City.

Persistent?- Started off well, and i thought to myself 'oh dear were gonna be outsung today' but once we scored went pretty average.

Stand or Sit? - Most stood. I'd say about percent.

Anything funny and rememerable? I just liked walking past the away end before the match. It was Manchester all over, the worst accent in the world and funny clothes. I liked the "get yer rickeh hatton souveneer t-shirt" seller.

Any bother? Not that i can recall, but a shitload of bizzies.

Chant of the day for some reason we sang - "where were you when you were shit?" and their response was comical. First they all thought, then laughed and did that face as if to say "actually we were here". Then they followed that with a "feed the goat and he will score" referring to his illegal goal to knock us out of the play-offs. I also like the city chant "...just like the fan of the invisible man, we're not really here" to the tune of we shall not be moved. And "there here, they're there, there every fucking where..empty seats, empty seats" not heard that one before so fair play.

Overall Rating 7/10 - on par with Liverpool. Untouchable the first 30 minutes but soon quietened, but miles better than last season.

Where they loud? - Erm, just before kick off I think and once or twice during the game, but most of their songs lasted about 20 seconds.

Persistent?- In 10 minute intervals?

Stand or Sit? - Sat, but that may of been due to stewards.

Anything funny and rememerable? Our announcer said " Welcome Manchester City and Portsmouth.. instead of Everton.. quite pathetic really.

Chant of the day - They had "Derby, Derby", "Derby Derby Derby" and that old classic "Deeeeeeeeerby". Utter shite. Worst chants ever

Overall Rating 4/10 - Not a bad following but too quiet for the number they brought. The only team I can think of that have a worse chant selection than us

Doubt they'll have 1,000. On a 3pm Saturday they only ever seem to bring 300 to Newcastle. And with it being a Monday, there'll be less interest.

Anyway.

Blackburn v Newcastle.

How many fans did the away team take? About 6 - 7,000 I'm not too sure, between those numbers though, definitely.

Were they loud? Impossible to tell, you always sound loud if you're in the area where the fans are chanting, maybe a Blackburn fan could clear it up?

Persistant? Yes, however, after Blackburn's third it died down a lot, until the last few minutes, everyone was singing and our end was bouncing.

Stand or Sit? All stood.

Any Bother? Yes, people were kicking car wing mirrors off and kicking lights through on the backs of cars in the Fernhurst pub. Pointless really. Doubt we'll be welcome there again.

Anything Funny or memorable? Not really, but the goal celebrations were wild.

Chant Of the day? 'Mohammed, Mohammed the Bear, everyone knows his name....' a ditty about the teacher in Sudan, tune: Rupert the Bear.

Were they loud? In the first half, they were. They were taking the piss out of this one Rangers fan, who looked like a jakey. Went on for quite a while, but died down after half time.

Persistant? No. Every 15 minutes or so you could hear faint chants of "Killie Til' I Die"

Stand or Sit? Some were standing, majority sitting.

Any Bother? None whatsoever.

How many fans did you/the away team take? They had 2,000ish, which is great considering that it's a Wednesday night.

Where they loud? After their goal when they sang 'we are top of the league,' other than that, nope.

Persistent? No, sang after their goal and before the game, not a peep out of them until we had a dig at them for being French.

Stand or Sit? All of the back 3-4 rows stood and a few closest to the Leazes stood, other than that they all sat, I'm afraid.

Anything funny and rememerable? No, not really, just the usual, 'you've never won fuck all' chants.
